At Home with Chumeia

February 26, 2010 matt 4 Comments

We opened up a bottle of 2007 Chumeia “California” Chardonnay at home.  It was a pretty inexpensive bottle – under $8, and kind of got what we paid for.  Neither of us were crazy about it, Hoot got a little musty-ness in it and Annie got some over-ripe pineapple, both of us got some sharp/bitterness.  While it was still drinkable, especially for the price, it wasn’t our favorite.  We’ll make a point to go out to the Chumeia tasting room and see what they have for us to try on their list.

    Hello:

You guys are too funny, you crack me up. Anyway, I wanted to comment on Chumeia Vineyard. actually used to work there and Lee has some really great wine, especially his Danti Dusi Zin. You should get out there and give that a whirl. Let me know what you think.

    Love you guys,

    Lori

      Hey Lori,

We’ll definitely go into the tasting room and try what they have open! We figured that the Chardonnay we tried was one of their big production wines, and not necessarily representative of what they pour. It’s all good…gotta love wine! Thanks for the tips, and the comment!!! xoxo

I like this new set up with both of you interacting in front of the camera. The wine reviews keep getting better!

Thanks for the feedback, Ben!!! We keep working on it to see what seems to be the best arrangement. Cheers!
