Hearst Ranch Winery…Wow!

July 12, 2010 matt 6 Comments

Set in the quaint little historic town of Old Town San Simeon, Hearst Ranch has their tasting room in historic Sebastian’s Market…built in 1852, it’s the perfect setting.  Super rustic, fun, and funky, you’ll love the views and the wine!  Really unique and delicious wines, they’ve got a Chardonnay, Cab Franc (they’re known for this one), a Cab Sauv, a nice Merlot, and a blend that just went up against Justin’s Isosceles and did great!  This is definitely worth a visit, stop in nearby Cambria or take a tour of Hearst Castle, it’s literally right across the “street”.

Very cool, love it. Have you been to Hearst Castle? We haven’t yet, but we will stop at Hearst Ranch on the way. Thanks.

Bev – haven’t been to Hearst Castle in a really long time, but plan on hitting it up sometime soon! Especially now that we know we can taste wine while we’re out there.

Hey Stacey – aren’t the seals hilarious to watch? We love to check them out, too…very entertaining. As for the Castle, we haven’t been in a long time, but will check it out sooner or later. Let us know what you think of the Wine!!!
