Toucan Wines

July 23, 2010 matt Leave a Comment

There’s a little family-run micro-winery out of Arroyo Grande that’s making a big mark on the wine industry!  Toucan Wines is out of Arroyo Grande, CA and they produce right around 400 cases of wine.  The wines are handcrafted Old Vines Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Carignane.  Doug Timewell of Toucan Wines puts his focus on quality and his goal is to produce great wines that go well with food.  While they don’t have a tasting room, they’ll gladly let you know where and when you can find them to taste through their wines and hear their story.  We found Doug pouring in the Village of Arroyo Grande at Lund’s; a neat little gift and wine shop.  You can follow Toucan Wines as well as Doug’s group “Carignane Revolution” on Facebook, and keep track of what they’re up to!
