Artisan Restaurant: Monday Night Suppers & Silver Horse Winery (Part 2)

January 12, 2011 matt 4 Comments

Big wines and big personality; that’s what Steve Kroener brings as the featured winery for the Monday Night Supper we attended.  Steve is one of the biggest personalities on the Paso Robles wine scene, and to back all that up…he makes great wine.  Silver Horse was paired with Happy Acres Family Farm for the first Monday Night Supper of the season at Artisan Restaurant in Paso Robles.

Steve’s humor, and his love of his craft definitely shows right up in this video interview.  We’ve known Steve for almost four years and he’s truly doing it HIS way!!  Watching him work the room at Artisan was awesome, you can tell that he loves what he does.  And luckily, we got to sit with him for dinner…which is always a barrel of laughs!! Great food and wine pairings by Chris Kobayashi (the chef) and Steve’s wines!!
(We hope you like the Sex Pistols…you’ll understand in the video.)
Thank you again to Jen Bravo, Shandi & Chris Kobayashi, Mike Kobayashi, and the one and only, Steve Kroener, for a great night and an awesome experience!!

Awesome, he is funny. Wow I wonder if he would do another “Monday Night Supper” if I come up in the summer (or end of summer)….it sure sounds delicious! Keep us posted. Cheers!

Loved the Silver Horse albarino, and indeed found it really food friendly. I’m a bit jealous about this Monday Night Supper thing.

Hey Scott! That Albarino is one of our favorites…good acidity to pair with food! They had it with some homemade guacamole and chips, and goat cheese and terrific bread! Awesome…
