Riverbench Winery: Another Complete Package

January 20, 2011 matt 6 Comments

This beautifully renovated old farm house sits on some of the most amazing property in Santa Maria (northern Santa Barbara County) along the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail. This is a place where you can drift away and let all the worries and concerns of the world go away…just let the surrounding vineyards and rolling hills absorb them while you sip on some incredible wine.  Paradise!

Riverbench Vineyard

We are big fans of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and that’s what they have…damn good too. This was only our second time in the tasting room which left us asking why we don’t make it in there more…especially since Annie’s Dad doesn’t live that far down the road (he asks us why we don’t make it down more all the time). We’ll have to work on that!

The tasting room is beautiful and is one that has plenty of shopping available, along with some amazing photography for sale.  Bring your picnic and enjoy the grounds, or attend one of their events when they crank up the pizza oven and let the food and wine flow!

Yes, I agree Annie should visit Santa Maria (more wineries) and her dad more often. Thanks again for sharing another lovely winery, another one to add to our list. Cheers!

Lol! Just sayin……FYI….My dad is 90 years old and going strong, he lives twenty miles away and I don’t see him enough, although we email each other almost everyday. 🙂

Had the opportunity to taste the Riverbench Pinot lineup at Pinot Days last weekend. Their 08’s, 3 of them, were all very good. I look forward to visiting the winery.

Hey Xochitl, you won’t be disappointed! They’ve got great stuff all around. Jealous that you got to go to Pinot Days!
