While on a little walkabout to San Jose (no, we didn’t walk to San Jose, but it sounded good to call it a walkabout) we found ourselves at a cool downtown joint called Farenheit. Their tagline is “Ultra Lounge and Restaurant”, which was a fitting tagline for sure. We were there early in the evening so there wasn’t a big crowd yet, but it was just such a great scene! The low lighting, modern decor, different seating areas, and great food and service made it an overall perfect experience.
We go out and about a lot (you might have noticed that about us) and really stand up and take notice when we get good customer service. Our server, Jessica was the best! You know how there’s that delicate balance for servers of being friendly enough, but not over talkative and attentive enough but not smothering? Well, she had the balance down! From when she greeted us at the door to her recommendations and stories, it was just right.
Okay, so now that we got all that cleared up, the food at this place was awesome! We just had a couple of snacks, but they were incredible. The creativity in the presentation and the diversity of the menu made us want to order one of everything. They had an interesting wine list (not many Paso Robles wines, but that’s okay for now) and some interesting sounding specialty cocktails.
So, can you tell that we really dug this place yet? Yeah, we did…just an overall fun place to hang out! Farenheit is located in the heart of downtown San Jose, and is a must stop if you’re looking for an “Ultra” experience!
