THE MCMANIS FAMILY OFFERS NEWLY RELEASED JACK TONE VINEYARDS WINES
IN POPULAR 3-LITER BAG-IN-BOX
RIPON, CA (October 3, 2011) – Ron and Jamie McManis, owners of McManis Family Vineyards, announced the release of Jack Tone Vineyards Red and White wines, the first non-vintage wine offering produced by the winery and the first to be available in a 3-liter bag-in-box. With a nod to the rich agricultural history of the Northern Interior of California, the name is a tribute to Pioneer Jack Tone and refers to Jack Tone Road, the main thoroughfare that connects McManis Family Vineyards in Ripon and Lodi to the west.
The premium grapes for the red and white wine blends were carefully chosen by the McManis Family and reflect their ongoing commitment to producing wines from the highest quality fruit in California’s Northern Interior. In addition, the wines are non-vintage and the varietal blends may change from year to year. As Ron McManis explained, “We’re excited about this opportunity to offer wines of superior quality in this popular and convenient container. Non-vintage blending allows our winemakers to choose from different harvests, selecting grape varieties and optimum flavors to consistently produce wines of good taste vintage to vintage.”
Jack Tone NV Red Wine
Available in major markets in early 2011, the Jack Tone NV Red is a gorgeous, mouthwatering blend of Petite Sirah and Syrah grapes sourced from select Northern Interior vineyards. The vivid purple color, indicative of Petite Sirah, combines with the luminosity of Syrah, to create an attractive vibrant wine. Intense aromas of ripe blackberry, boysenberry and cassis lead the way, with hints of vanilla and toasty oak lingering on the palate. Brimming with dark fruit flavors, this lively blend offers a smooth, soft finish.
Jack Tone NV White Wine
Available in select markets in early 2011, the Jack Tone NV White is a refreshing and appealing blend of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Muscat Canelli grapes sourced from select Northern Interior vineyards. The wine is a pretty pale blond color, displaying the charming characteristics of light skinned grape varieties. A cornucopia of fruit essence aromas of peach, pear, and lemon-lime combine with hints of sweet pear and apple flavors, offering a delightful zest to the rich, creamy finish.
New 3–Liter Bag–in–Box Packaging
The Jack Tone Vineyards wines are available in a new 3-liter bag-in-box container, offering consumers the premium quality they identify with McManis Family wines and the convenience and value of this increasingly popular container. Stored in a vacuum-sealed bag inside the colorful new carton, the wine is accessed via a convenient spout built into the package and will remain fresh for four weeks without refrigeration. The 3-liter size is perfect for gatherings as well as a great way to keep a supply of Jack Tone wines available at the push of a button!
The new containers are also shipped in convenient 3-packs—a 9-liter case—providing wine distributors, wholesalers, and retailers an opportunity to “consumer test” the wines in smaller lots.
The Jack Tone Vineyards Red and White wines are in national distribution in most major markets, including: California, Texas, New York/New Jersey, Colorado, and Florida.
SRP: $19.99 – $22.99 per 3 Liter box or 4 bottle equivalent

Not a bad idea, huh, Renee? Keeps for a long time…and all packaged up in a nice little box! It’s definitely time for us to get over our pre-conceived notions about boxed wine, or even jug wines!
