Heard of the “Food Network” channel on TV? If you like food at all, then it’s highly likely that you’ve spent some time watching some of the many cooking shows on the channel, as well as their reality show called “The Next Food Network Star”. Well, it just so happens that Aarti Sequeira, aka Aarti Party, was the winner of Season 6 of the reality show! We had the privilege of meeting her and talking with her at Sunset Magazine‘s SAVOR the Central Coast event.
Aarti was an absolute delight to chat with and 10 seconds in to the conversation, we realized that it’s no surprise she won the show and now hosts her very own cooking show on the Food Network. It’s called “Aarti Party” and it’s all about learning how easy and fun it can be to add a little (or a lot) of Indian flavor to your favorite foods. Cooking with traditional Indian ingredients and techniques can be intimidating, but Aarti makes it perfectly easy. From sauced up pulled pork, to glazed short ribs, to jazzy lentils, she breaks it down for you.
We sat down and asked her a few questions…as you’ll see, her personality shines! She’s a star, for sure!!!
