As many of you know, we have been on the move…and I’m not talking about being out on the town. We’ve actually been moving all of our stuff to a new house which is important with Little Browne on the way. The move has gone very well but it’s been mind numbingly busy. On top of the move we have work business stuff to stay on top of and baby doctor stuff to keep up with and so on.
I’ve had painting jobs to handle as well as my online business duties and Annie has been working part-time in her beginning maternity leave from home. She’s also been coordinating everything for the move since we’re at the point where we don’t want her over doing it or moving a bunch of heavy stuff…instead, we hired movers and I’ve been handling the manual labor side of things.
The first day of the move we had the movers come, obviously, and we also had a new refrigerator delivered, new living room furniture delivered, The Gas Company came to check on things, we had a maid come do an initial cleaning, and the new bed was delivered. While Annie made phone calls and was available for these people I was going back and forth to grab all the smaller stuff that we didn’t have the movers deal with.
The second day consisted of more moving of little stuff from the old house, a trip to the dump, and so on for me. Annie had a doctor appointment, which we will let you know about on LittleBrowne.com, and she was available for a screen door repair man, a plumber, the DirecTV guy, and the Charter guy who was installing internet and phone for us. I finished the move out of the old house and cleaned it so I left the keys…we’re officially out of the old house on September 25…good feeling.
So as I sit here at 5:30 am on Wednesday September 26, 2012…I’m tired and my back is sore. I know Annie feels that she wishes she could do more to help me out with the more labor intensive stuff but I won’t let her. We’re trying to get ready for the baby and stay on top of the finalization of the sale of this new house. We’re renting while the sale paperwork wraps up which isn’t all bad. I’m very happy to be in the new place…a place where I can see raising Little Browne, a place where I can see Annie having many fun kitchen adventures, and a place that the three of us can call home.
Life is full of curveballs and it’s up to us to step up. Life is full of hard work and it’s up to us to step up. Life is full of things that don’t go the way that we think they should go and it’s time for us to step up. You have the choice to overcome and adapt or fight it. You have a choice to wander through this amazing adventure called life with a smile on your face or pissed off.
Handle business…do work!!

Keep up with both your upbeat attitudes nothing can interfer with that as you share many lifes challenges with having child/children, enjoy because time goes by so fast as I miss my kids being little, as we parents grow older. 🙂

What, you moved out of a 3 room tent to a 4 room tent? Annie I would have treated you better.
Hoot (or Matt) says
Haha…funny guy Gary!! It’s a four room tent with a 5 gallon bucket as the bathroom. 🙂
Gary says
Annie I would have gotten you a 55 gal. barrel.

Wow, quite an adventure to be moving with Little Browne on the way too. Best wishes on both fronts!

Thank you David…it was not planned this way it was just the circumstances. But at the very least it’s been a fun adventure and taught us to get organized quickly. LOL
