In my last blog post I talked about what we did on Saturday of Wine Festival weekend and now I want to talk about what we did Sunday.
It’s actually quite simple, we went to Eberle Winery and hung out for about four hours. Gary Eberle was out with his buddies grilling up a bunch of meat and Marcy Eberle was running around making sure everything was running smoothly. They also had live music on the deck and it sounded great! We took Sammy (or as Gary calls him, Gary Jr.) with us as well and he did great, I don’t think he fussed once.
That’s one thing Annie and I have talked about before, picking one winery and going to enjoy their vibe for an afternoon rather than running from winery to winery. There are so many beautiful spots in the Paso Robles wine region, why not spend more time at one specific place and just relax?
Well, Eberle Winery is one of those spots. They have a great deck with wonderful views to the west and you’re pretty much surrounded by vineyards on roiling hills. Last Sunday the temperature was about 80 or 85 with a slight breeze, can’t ask for a better day in paradise!
So that’s it, two points to this post: 1) be sure to go hang out at Eberle, especially on a day when Gary is out grilling…always a good time and 2) be sure to enjoy the property, the vibe, and the unique ambiance that each winery has. It really is quite nice being able to sit back, relax, and have a glass (or 6) of wine at these amazing properties!!
Cheers folks, Happy Friday!

Hey I’m really glad you guys came on Sunday, but between my two poodles and Matt my customers didn’t get much to eat. It was a great day and even the wine was pretty good. In fact we had such a great time and my BBQ crew are out again from Atascadero State for Memorial Day weekend we are going to BBQ again on this Sunday. If you want some more good tri-tip, ribs, and duck sausage it is only a .25 cent donation to the Childerns Museum.
Haha, nice Gary!! Glad they let you guys out from time to time! We had a great time, it was beautiful out there last weekend and the band was great. Thanks for hosting all these good times. We’ll see about this weekend, not sure what’s happening yet but I do know I need to keep painting the inside of the house we recently bought…talk about fun.
I would rather burn tri-tip than paint. My least favorite chore. Unless of course it’s body painting. Then I am one of the best finger painters you’ve ever seen.
