Paso Robles Wine: Have You Heard the News About J Dusi Wines?

August 21, 2013 matt 5 Comments

If you know about the history of Paso Robles or if you love Zinfandel or if you love small production winemakers…you probably know J Dusi Wines.

What’s So Exciting About J Dusi Wines?

J Dusi Wines is moving into their first tasting room in Paso Robles! Prior to this tasting room Janell Dusi would taste by appointment, for wine club, or at events…so this will be an awesome addition to the tasting room scene in Paso Robles. The new location is 1401 HWY 46 West in what used to be Edward Sellers Winery.I won’t get in to too much on this post other than to say the family legacy, going back to her grandparents is quite simply, amazing. Janell’s reputation as a winemaker has continued to grow and it’s well deserved in our opinion. She makes many wines but our favorites in the past have been her Pinot Grigio, the Zinfandels, and her Carignane. She hopes to experiment with new varietals and up production as well. They are making some cool changes to the property and we can’t wait to go sit on the patio and taste through her wines!

She plans on opening in September once work is completed on the facility.

Congrats to Janell and her team, I’m sure there are big things to come!

I am a big fan of Edward Sellers wines, and was so sad to hear that they closed. ( hopefully I purchased enough at their close out sale to keep me going for a while)

I’m happy to hear that Janell Dusi is now at the helm of that beautiful property & tasting room. It will be my 1st stop on my next trip out to Paso Robles.
Cheers Matt & Annie – thanks for this great local update!

You’re awesome, Eileen. As I said on Facebook, follow Ranchero Cellars, her wines are awesome and she was the winemaker at Edward Sellers. She recently started a wine club too and we joined. I’m stoked for Janell, good things to come. 🙂

We were happy to be a part of this Grand Opening as we finished a major Dust Control project on the property. This project was not just for the traffic but to keep the dust off the fruit along with eliminating dust mites.

David, very cool. My company did some painting there, good times.
