HARRY’S PISMO BEACH BAR HAS BEEN ACQUIRED BY PISMO BEACH HOTEL FAMILY
Mike Frey and his family’s ownership group, who also own the Pismo Beach Hotel, have acquired Harry’s Beach Bar. The acquisition took place on May 1, 2014, and new elements of excitement have been added to benefit all patrons. While the music genre and staff remain the same, additions of boutique wine on tap, acceptance of credit cards, a wide variety of Social Media applications and a commitment to patrons and citizens of Pismo Beach is being received with enthusiasm.
“We are excited to be a part of such a rich historical acquisition”, stated Mike Frey, Managing Partner. “We have found that Harry’s is a destination point for many of our visitors and we intend to keep the best of it the same, while adding new elements of enjoyment. We are open everyday from 10:00am until 2:00am, with live music every night.”
For over 35 years, Harry’s commitment to beach side libations and rocking good times has made it a destination for Pismo Beach visitors. Harry’s is known for the best Bloody Mary, exciting bands and an escape to a beach bar. Harry’s Pismo Beach is dedicated to our visitors and locals and now offers Harry’s branded clothing and accessories.
In order to show their commitment to the area, Harry’s and the Pismo Beach Hotel have graciously donated $25,000 of matching funds to The Land Conservancy for the Pismo Preserve, which is a 900-acre private ranch high above Pismo Beach. This preserve would be open for outdoor recreation including hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, bird watching and exploring the flora and fauna of the area. Harry’s donation is the largest by any local business.
