FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Open House Harvest Festival Weekend October 16-18, 2015

September 14, 2015 (Paso Robles, Calif.) After seven vintages, ONX Wines is opening their first winery and tasting room in Tin City, Paso Robles. An open house celebration is slated for October 16-18 during Harvest Festival Weekend.

“After many vintages as vagabond winemakers, we finally have a winery to call our own. Our open layout gives our guests views of our production area through ample glass openings, which brings the experience full circle. It is a winery that proudly shows its bones”, said Winemaker and Director of Operations, Brian Brown.

onx4During Harvest Festival Weekend, guests can explore the integrated indoor-outdoor tasting area and get acquainted with ONX’s current releases, including their first Cabernet Sauvignon-Malbec cuvée 2013 Caliber. “Caliber was a wine we were always going to make; it was just a question of when”, said Brown. “It is a blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon, arguably the emperor of modern wines, with a judicious dollop of Malbec to soften Cab’s chiseled features. These two grapes are yin and yang for us at ONX Estate”.

The tasting room features a rustic industrial feel that is in line with the Tin City vibe. “We are enjoying contributing to the Tin City development, which is quickly becoming known as the stomping grounds for Paso’s boutique winemakers,” said ONX Director of Sales and Marketing, Ann Day-Wills. Our winery workspace is fully visible from the tasting room area, where guests will enjoy seated tastings and shared educational experiences.”

During the ONX Wines Harvest Fest Weekend celebration, a host of current release wines will be available for tasting and purchase, including: 2013 Mad Crush (91-Vinous,); 2013 Praetorian (91-Vinous, 90-Wine Advocate); and 2013 Crux, 91-Wine Advocate).

Brian Brown, along with founder, Steve Olson, have a shared vision to grow and craft high quality wines that bend perception and boundaries. Over several vintages, these wines have garnered much praise from Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Wine Spectator. With a mix of several different Spanish, Rhône and Bordeaux varieties, ONX Wines are unhindered by convention and express the personality of the winery’s dynamic, Westside Templeton Gap District vineyard. New plantings of an additional 18 acres of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache and Petit Verdot promise to bring new and creative opportunities to ONX’s winemakers in the years ahead.onx2

ONX Wines tasting room and winery are located at 2910 Limestone Way, Paso Robles CA. No appointment is necessary during the open house over Wine Festival Weekend. Guests are welcome to stop in 10am to 4pm Fri.-Sun. Oct. 16-18. All other visits are by appointment only.
