Paso Robles Rhone Rangers Experience 2017

April 4, 2017 matt Leave a Comment

Howdy folks! Yes, I realize that the Rhone Rangers Experience at Broken Earth Winery was way back on February 19th of this year but things have been busy so I’m just now getting to posting the photos. I’m not going to get long-winded about this event in this post. Just know that the event is an amazing opportunity to taste incredible Rhone wines from Paso Robles.

The only other things to mention are the seminar and the lunch. The seminar was moderated by Elaine Brown, who is an amazing personality in the wine industry. If you don’t know who she is go here. The panel was full of amazing winemaking talent. It consisted of Amy Butler (Ranchero Cellars), Jason Haas (Tablas Creek), Kristen Barnhisel (J. Lohr), Curtis Hascall (Shale Oak), Patrick Muran (Niner Wine), Victor Abascal (Vines on the Marycrest), Damian Grindley (Brecon Estate), Kevin Jussila (Kukkula), and Jeremy Leffert (Tooth & Nail). Great conversations.

Lunch was catered by Chef Jeffery C. Scott. Here’s the menu (you can see a photo in the slideshow below):

Butternut Squash Bisque

Syrah Braised Prime Beef Short Rib

Oak Seared Free Range Chicken Thighs

Winter Vegetable Gratinee

Shaved Fennel & Tuscan Kale Salad

Artisan & Farmstead Cheeses

Lunch was terrific…but you wouldn’t expect anything less from Chef Jeffery and his crew.

Well done to all of those that put the event together and to Broken Earth Winery for hosting yet again. Loved it.
