Q&A with Rich Secchiaroli from Terra Mia

November 26, 2018 matt Leave a Comment

I have known Rich as an acquaintance for a few years now and have had the luxury of going to Terra Mia for a couple of the Fryers Roasts, which are so much fun. Terra Mia is an amazingly stunning property right in the heart of wine country. Let’s get to know Rich a little better. Cheers!

Matt: Where are you from originally if not from Paso Robles?

Rich: Born and raised in Buffalo, NY. till 19 yrs old, then lived in Las Vegas for 20 years, then Laguna Beach 12 years… Now, Paso

Matt: When did you move to Paso wine country?

Full time in Paso since 2012

Matt: What brought you to the area?

Rich: A random invitation to attend a “Wine Festival” in 2005

Matt: How long have you owned Terra Mia?

Rich: 6 years

Matt: What did you do before moving to Paso and running Terra Mia?

Rich: A Network Marketing Company called ACN

Matt: What is your vision of Terra Mia?

Rich: A magical representation of Paso Robles beauty that we can share with folks from outside the area.

Matt: What is the property used for?

Rich: We grow grapes, olives, and hold weddings.

Matt: What have been some of your favorite events at Terra Mia?

Rich: Fundraising events, especially the Fryers Club roasts.

Matt: What do you love most about this area?

Rich: Community…food, wine, and fellowship. Along with a strong resemblance of Tuscany.

Matt: What is your least favorite thing about this area?

Rich: Lack of dining and other infrastructure ie. Drycleaners, carwash, etc.

Matt: Do you have some favorite spots to hang out in Paso Robles (restaurants, wineries, etc.)?

Rich: Best spots to hang are friends homes…very few warm, hospitable spots that create an environment to hang out. Some of our summer concerts at wineries like Castoro create a nice relaxing afternoon. I do feel it’s slowly coming around though. Very nice option to drive to one of our neighboring beach towns or SLO to a better selection of hangouts and dining.
