Grover Beach, CA.: ManRock Brewing Company

September 10, 2019 matt 1 Comment

We were recently heading south for some family stuff and decided to stop into ManRock Brewing Company. We had heard of this place several times before and if I’m not mistaken, we did taste a beer or two of theirs at an event…but I’m getting old and I can’t remember what event that would have been.

It’s located right off Highway 101 in Grover Beach in a little shopping center. The facility itself is just what you’d expect from a modern brewery. There’s a great patio in back to sit with friends and chill or you can sit inside where they have a fun and lively vibe. There’s several TVs (which was cool since we were there on Sunday and it was week 1 of the NFL) for your viewing pleasure and a bunch of games to play to pass the time with a cold beer.

This joint also has an extensive pub style menu with sandwiches, salads, pizzas, nachos and more. The three of us (yes, we had our boy, Sammy, with us) shared the nachos and a pizza, both of which were good. The beers on tap were diverse and, in my opinion, really good. I had the Fear the Reaper Amber and the Sand Pail Pale Ale and enjoyed both. I may have had more but I’m not going to confirm nor deny.

If you’re traveling up and down 101 through the Grover Beach area, I would definitely suggest that you stop in and check it out. Be sure to check their website for hours of operation. I’m glad we finally made it in, as much as we love our regular spots in Paso Robles, it’s always nice trying new joints on the Central Coast. Thanks to the crew at ManRock for the hospitality.
