I would venture to say that Sammy goes on some kind of adventure four to six times per week. It may be climbing the hill in our backyard, going to the grocery store, visiting the downtown park or Barney Schwartz Park, running off with Annie and I on the weekend to wherever it is we’re running off to, doing something fun with Megan or Kelly (our good friends and Sammy sitters), or…my during-the-week trips to Cambria.
Specifically Moonstone Beach. One of my favorite beach areas in California. I thought that a good way to document these adventures is to write something brief and then share the photos from the adventure. So this adventure was on February 3rd to Moonstone Beach.
The most interesting thing on this adventure to Cambria was that I had never seen the waves so big. I mean, they were quite large for Moonstone. I had also never seen the tide coming in so far. Let me say that I take him over there at roughly the same time when we go…typically about 9 or 9:30am. I’ve never had to grab him by the arm and run away from the ocean, this time I had to. If I hadn’t I would have been up to my knees.
That’s why they’re called adventures, eh?
Below you’ll see some photos I took of Sammy, the ocean, and…well…that’s it. Until the next adventure, cheers!

I think Moonstone Beach is always an adventure. I’m hoping to get back myself again soon. Seen any elephant seals?
