Although Sammy won’t be 3 years old until October 12 his 3 year checkup was scheduled for today. And the results are in….
Lungs, heart, legs, feet, mouth (teeth, etc.), spine, and so on all look great. There has been a bump on Sammy’s right side chest for many months and the doctor said it was ‘water warts’. Says that within the next year or so they will go away on their own. Sammy got a hepatitis A #2 shot and the flu mist deal sprayed in his nose. He weighed in at 34 pounds (81st percentile) and is 38.25 inches tall (67th percentile).
Sammy handled the checkup really well but did cry a little bit when he got the shot…to be expected.
It’s always nice to see the doctor. It’s almost like he validates us and makes us feel we are doing a good job with Sammy. He mentioned that Sammy speaks really well and that he’s very polite. Sammy kept telling him ‘thank you’ after each little checkup thing he would do. Pretty funny. His next checkup will be at 4 years old.
He needs a t-shirt that says I got a shot in my thigh and all I got were these lousy stickers.
