…because if you don’t, it makes success very hard to attain. You must have some level of motivation, excitement, and purpose to even get out of bed in the morning. That’s why you have so many people (self help books and feel good gurus) all touting the same thing; find your passion and live with passion. The problem is, that most of us just aren’t that stinkin’ happy all the time, right? When you’re car needs $800.00 in repairs you say “this sucks” before you say “oh, awesome”. It’s hard to always find the positive in everything that goes on, however, this is the key. We all know that things aren’t always going to go perfectly, and it’s in those moments of ‘imperfect’, that we shape the other areas of our life.
It is imperative to limit/ contain the length of time we’re being negative, otherwise it snowballs out of control. We each need to find our little trigger that pulls us out, after a very short period of time (I would say minutes), or you risk having your day run you instead of you running it (actual quote: “Either you run the day or the day runs you.” by Jim Rohn).
One way that I have found to stay up and positive is to be “happy and helpful” to others. I’m one of those people that others come to quite often to discuss thier “problems”; which I don’t mind at all because my personality is that of a problem solver. I want to help others, that is something I am passionate about. And when people say you can’t do that, that can’t be done, or that’s too difficult; those are all things that motivate me to do it. Idon’t always succeed, but who does? At least I tried. The point here is very simple, as hard as it gets some times; you have the ability and the motivation inside you to overcome and succeed.
It truly is all in you, it may take others to bring it out but you really do have all the abilities to succeed and live the life YOU want. It took me a long time to figure it out; to learn it but I figured I was on the right track when I went from saying “that’s a stupid, corny cliche” to “wow, all those sayings have truth to them”. Take the time to enjoy it, it’s a great journey because it starts opening doors you’d never even think of; now go create!!
