Is There A Scientist Available? The Earth Is Shaking!

You might have noticed lately, um, the Earth has been shaking like crazy for a couple of months or so. I’m only 33 years old but I have never seen anything quite like this, Mama Earth is a wee bit upset. So far in 2010 we have had major quakes in Haiti, Chile, Mexico and Indonesia; and this doesn’t include a ton of smaller ones that have done nothing but rattle nerves. This is why I am posting about this, we just had one here where I live in Paso Robles, CA., a 4.1 on 4-7-10.

I just went and read a few articles online and they are saying that it’s normal, the only abnormal thing is the quakes are happening in more populated areas. Well, that’s fine but I still don’t like it. One amazing side note is that these quakes this year have been further proof of the power of social media sites. News is traveling faster on Twitter and Facebook than on television or print media. Welcome to 2010 (not you earthquakes though, you’re not welcome!!).
