It’s easier to blame than to be accountable. It’s also easier to be the victim than be accountable for how you got in your situation. However, there is an amazing power in accountability that I think is overlooked far too often.
It is a knee jerk reaction to displace fault or guilt, I understand that, but the simple fact is that the quicker you can be accountable and realize what it is you are doing to negatively impact you and your life, the quicker you can come back from it. I’ve also noticed that the more honest you can be in these situations the more people will look to you as a leader because of
that level of respect and envy they have of the ownership you are taking.
This is true in your personal life and in business…be honest, own the mistakes, give credit to others for the successes, and be positive. These are a few key things I believe in and that have served me well when I can remember to do them! Cheers!
