Places: I have lived all over the state of California- Los Angeles, San Gabriel, Pasadena, San Marino, Claremont, San Miguel, Saratoga, and Redding. I’ve also lived in San Antonio, TX. and Greenville, KY. Currently I live in Paso Robles, CA. (been here since Nov. 2003), the beautiful central coast where we are surrounded by wineries and vineyards…a little bit of paradise in the state that is falling apart, thanks to the stupidity that takes place in Sacramento.
Education: I have a high school diploma, and four or five years of community college behind me…but no college degree. Unfortunately or fortunately I finally stopped trying to please everyone else and stopped going to school in order to concentrate on doing what I do, which is have spontaneous business ideas and act on them.
Career: I hate the word career, not sure why but it just strikes me as a disease. Anyways, I had my first job at 10 years old mowing yards, what young boy hasn’t done that? The first job I had that was actually at all interesting to me was in San Antonio where I worked for a HVAC distribution company. I learned many useful things there, most importantly that working for someone else wasn’t for me. The other jobs I had after that confirmed these suspicions so I finally decided to start my own business.
After eventually making it back to California, for some reason, I got into the painting business…houses, not canvas. In March of 2006 I started my own painting company, Liberty Coatings, which has been the best learning experience of my life. From there I have also opened a window washing company, which goes along with the painting quite nicely, and a photography business (you can see some of my photographs at http://www.LibertyEnterprises.org ), which is a hobby I try to monetize from.
The newest biz move has been starting a social media marketing company. Oh my Lord, how original right? My focus is on community building, engagement, real time marketing, trickle down marketing, research & implementation, etc. There’s more info on the “Need Help?” page…it’s absolutely riveting, you should take a look!!
Family & Personal: I have one, it’s the kind they refer to as broken due to divorce and whatnot, I will spare the details. I’ve been married once before, but have been with my second and last wife, Annie, since 2007…and thank eight pound tiny bearded baby Jesus for that. She makes everything good even when I’m trying to make everything bad. Thinking about it now, I’d have to say I’ve learned the most from her, and it isn’t from her words. Annie is the key that opened my mind to unlimited possibilities. All I want to do is change the world…and it’s her fault!
So, that’s a little about me, now what about you?
