Paso Robles: Dante Dusi Passes Away

December 16, 2014 matt 1 Comment

A while back we lost a Paso Robles legend, Robert Hall of Robert Hall Winery. Now, Dante Dusi of Dante Dusi Vineyard, has passed. Some may not know him directly but rather indirectly through his granddaughter Janell Dusi of J. Dusi Winery. Either way, it’s the loss of yet another local legend.

You can read the obituary here. RIP Mr. Dusi and our thoughts to the Dusi family. http://bit.ly/1BPur0h

It is such a shame when we lose someone of Dante Dusis stature. He was one of the earliest pioners in the wine industry in Paso. He was the one who really showed early on what spectacular fruit could be grown in Paso Robles, and he was a very nice person. The entire Dusi family have done so much to enrich the life here in Paso. Guido was one of my favorite people and I enjoyed having him as a friend from the first year I moved here. We in the wine industry have lost one of the early giants in our business and we are all indebted to him, and Paso has lost one of our premier citizens. You will be missed Dante.
