Adventure: Chapel Hill and Wildflowers

March 28, 2017 matt Leave a Comment

A couple of weeks back we decided to go out to Chapel Hill again and take the beautiful walk up to the top. This time of year, the hills are green from all the rain we’ve had but the vines that line the walk up have not yet seen bud break. Sammy did the walk up and down on his own, which is the second or third time he’s done it. Impressive.

After spending a little time at the top and letting Sammy run around we decided to head over to Shell Creek Road in search of wildflowers. The drive is beautiful but I was let down in regards to the wildflowers. Granted, we probably should have driven a bit further but all we were seeing were yellow flowers. I’m hoping to see a super bloom one day in person and was hoping to see a little bit of that out there.

That said, it was a fun adventure in our neck of the woods. You can check out the photos below and see for yourself.
