Read these two scenarios and think about which one you’d rather experience:<\/div>\n

1. \u00a0You’re at a work convention out of town and are in the mood to grab a drink at the end of the day. \u00a0You’ve just met somebody (we’ll call him\/her “Pat”) that was sitting near you during the last seminar and they seem pretty cool, but you haven’t really formed your final opinion about them yet. \u00a0You head to the hotel lounge, it’s nice but nothing spectacular, hop on up at the bar and take a look at the wine list. \u00a0You see something that totally blows you away…your FAVORITE Pinot Noir by the glass! \u00a0It’s pricey, but hey, you’re on travel so you might as well splurge, right? \u00a0You get your wine and carry on a conversation with Pat, who is a mediocre conversationalist and keeps talking about his\/her mother’s psychotic obssession with feeding stray cats. \u00a0You end your night by ordering a burger and heading back to your room with a glass of their house Cabernet Sauvignon to watch American Idol.<\/div>\n

2. \u00a0You run into an old friend from college while perusing the cheese selection at Trader Joe’s and after some quick catching up, you realize how much you regret not staying in touch with him\/her (we’ll call him\/her “Pat” again, but it’s a different Pat). \u00a0You decide to suggest grabbing a drink at the new wine bar around the corner, since it’s close and convenient, though neither of you have been there. \u00a0Fast Forward to you and Pat sitting at a comfy table in the window chatting away about old and new times when the waiter approaches. \u00a0This waiter asks a few questions about the type of wine that you like and then makes a recommendation for a bottle along with a cheese plate to share. \u00a0His demeanor is so pleasant, and his suggestion hits the mark perfectly, not the best wine you’ve ever had, but it completely fits the moment! \u00a0You realize that you’ve finished the bottle as the time has flown and your waiter suggests the perfect dessert and glass of port to top the night off.<\/div>\n
