There’s plenty of jokes that have been thrown around out there about Blondes and Brunettes, right? \u00a0We’ve heard them all. \u00a0It always seems to come down to figuring out who’s having more fun…and, really, who knows the answer but the Blondes or the Brunettes? \u00a0We all have our pre-conceived notions about assorted characteristics and talents of each side of the house. \u00a0As far as intelligence goes; the blondes are known for being airheads, while Brunettes are characteristically called smarter and more practical with more complex personalities.<\/p>\n

Wait! \u00a0Stop! \u00a0Why do we think that we need to classify people based on the color of their hair? \u00a0That theory, of course, is based on biases and prejudicial ideas. \u00a0How could the color of one’s hair actually determine their personality??? \u00a0How about challenging our minds to new ideals and notions? \u00a0What about wine? \u00a0Who’s to say that there’s a pre-determined time and place for either white wine or red wine? \u00a0Why are “THEY” right when they tell us to drink white wines with chicken or fish and dictate that we sip on red wine with steak?<\/p>\n

Do you know somebody with Blonde hair? \u00a0How about a friend that’s a Brunette? \u00a0Better yet, what about the “unnatural” color that’s paid for? \u00a0What if we stopped classifying people based on the color of their hair? \u00a0Or the care that they drive? \u00a0Or the house that they live in? \u00a0The same goes for putting ourselves into a box over the wine that we “should” be drinking.<\/p>\n

In the same vain that we limit ourselves and our relationships based on our ideals about appearances, we cheat ourselves when it comes to exploring what we put in our glasses. \u00a0We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again; get out there and try something new. \u00a0Get all crazy and open a bottle of Pinot Noir with some grilled fish, or dare yourself to put a glass of Viognier up to your lips when eating a burger. \u00a0The wine police won’t be busting down your door to tell you that you’re wrong!<\/p>\n

Open your mind…open your mouth…let it go and go for it!!! \u00a0Scared? \u00a0It’ll be okay, we promise!<\/p>\n
