This past Saturday we headed over to Morro Bay to meet a friend for lunch. We got there a bit early and hung out by one of the kayak rental places. It\u2019s kind of fun to just be still and present in the moment like that. We watched the people coming in and out of the bay in their kayaks and the seals and pelicans doing\u2026well\u2026what seals and pelicans do.<\/p>\n

What’s to do in Morro Bay???<\/h3>\n

Time for lunch so we headed to one of our favorite Morro Bay spots, Rose\u2019s Landing<\/a>. We sat outside this time because the bar was full, but normally we are at that bar because it\u2019s got a great view of the harbor and Morro Rock. After hanging out with our buddy Rusty for lunch and a good chat, Annie and I decided to stay in Morro Bay until the Paso temperatures cooled off (over 100 is a bit warm).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Embarcadero in Morro Bay is awesome, always great tourist watching and the sea life is all a buzz. We walked up and down that main road and ended up at this new pub called the Libertine Pub<\/a>, it\u2019s been there for about three months from what it sounded like. Great little spot with some REALLY good craft beers on tap!! After a couple of beers (me, not Annie) we headed back out and came across a place called \u201cMorro Bay House of Jerky<\/a>\u201d. I wanted to go in because I\u2019m a beef jerky fan and my dad owns his own jerky company, Liberty Jerky<\/a>, so I\u2019m always interested in seeing what other folks are doing. This jerky spot was good but I still dig my dad\u2019s better (check ’em out!).<\/span><\/p>\n

Annie needed to get her sweet tooth on so she grabbed some stuff from the sugar store and we sat on a bench for about an hour watching the bay as the sun crept closer and closer to Morro Rock\u2026such a beautiful spot! As it was getting closer to dinner time we contemplated going back to Paso Robles or even to Templeton for something but decided to hang in Morro Bay longer and go to Windows on the Water<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This place is absolutely awesome\u2026great food and great service. This was our 5th<\/sup>\u00a0or 6th<\/sup>\u00a0time there and again, we sat at the bar so we could also watch the kitchen there\u2026fun watching a well run kitchen. We had a couple of awesome snacks and found ourselves all wrapped up into the moment\u2026I\u2019m finding that there is nothing better than actually being fully present in the moments and spending those moments with Annie\u2026could this be the meaning to life? Not Annie, but focusing on being in each moment versus worrying about an hour ago or an hour from now. Possible but guess we\u2019ll never know.<\/span><\/p>\n

After dinner we headed home, Annie drove because drinking and driving is stupid. It was yet another fantastic day here on the Central Coast!!
