Food is an essential part of everyone\u2019s life but when looked from the social stand point, it really is an incredible aspect of our lives. We see it when we break bread at different holidays, go out to a nice restaurant with your spouse or friends, have a gathering at your home and everyone ends up huddled around the kitchen, or that superb wine and food pairing you come across. Food is something we need whether we\u2019re happy or sad, rich or poor, and single or married. It brings us together and breaks the ice. It provides us with important nutrition that we need as well give us those all important social situations.<\/p>\n

The funny thing though, is that I never looked at food like this until I met Annie. My idea of food was hot pockets, frozen burritos, and Taco Bell. I certainly never thought of food as a social thing, I simply thought it was what needed to happen when my stomach growled so you filled it quickly and moved on. In the last six years I have had the privilege to eat Annie\u2019s amazing cooking and some absolutely ridiculously good restaurants, caterers, and other home cooks.<\/p>\n

What the hell am I getting at?<\/p>\n

I say all this because another goal we have this year it to start including more food and wine pairings on our blog as well as more restaurant and other food ideas and thoughts. In the below slideshow you will find some recent dishes we have enjoyed.<\/p>\n\n\n
