Here we are\u2026again. Another month gone that we\u2019ll never get back and it\u2019s a Monday\u2026haha\u2026just kidding. No negativity here. April flew by as all time does for us, nothing like having careers and a baby to soak it all up.<\/span><\/p>\n

We had some new wines last month and also revisited many that we were familiar with. My three favorites were:<\/span><\/p>\n

Baker & Brain<\/a> (I\u2019m not listing one, had a few at Earth Day and everything was awesome, period. Pinot Noir, Grenache Blanc\u2026just go check them out!)<\/span><\/p>\n

2010 Record Family Wines<\/a> Merlot (Had this one at the Paso Robles CAB Collective, never had their wines before)<\/span><\/p>\n

2009 K. Furtado<\/a> Rose of Syrah (This was given to us, we had not had this before either)<\/span><\/p>\n

Annie\u2019s three favorites were:<\/span><\/p>\n

2011 Zocker<\/a> Gruner Veltliner – awesome Summer wine, now that things are warming up!<\/p>\n

2010 AmByth<\/a> Viognier – Delicious biodynamic Viognier!<\/p>\n

1980 Eberle<\/a> Cabernet Sauvignon – What can I say…this was an incredible opportunity to try an older Paso Robles Cab, offered up at the Paso Robles CAB Collective.<\/p>\n

So this was a really interesting list for both of us, from a 1980 Cab to several wines we had not had before, to interesting varieties like Gruner Veltliner. I love months like this. Trust me, we drank a lot of stuff that we are VERY familiar and there\u2019s nothing wrong with that but for me much of the wine adventure is trying new things.<\/span><\/p>\n

So what new wine or wines have you tried recently that you would recommend to a friend?<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
