We adventured off to the “Far Out” side of Paso Robles to taste at Tablas Creek –http:\/\/www.tablascreek.com\/<\/a>. \u00a0This is one of our favorite wineries…they make really tasty wines! \u00a0Tablas Creek brings the French Rhone area right here to Paso Robles. \u00a0The owners are from Chateau de Beaucastel, a winery in the Rhone region of France, and they imported all of their vines from there! \u00a0They even built greenhouses on their property to graft and multiply the vines here. \u00a0They make a lot of traditional Rhone blends, both white and red, in an effort to develop more complex and better balanced wines than what some of the single varietals can produce on their own.<\/p>\n

Tablas Creek’s flagship wines are the Esprit de Beaucastel Blanc, a white blend of Roussane, Grenache Blanc, and Picpoul Blanc, and the Esprit de Beaucastel, a red blend of Mourvedre, Grenache Noir, Syrah and Counoise. \u00a0All of their wines are Estate grown, right there on their 120-acre property, and they grow them organically.<\/p>\n

The tasting room is casual, with several different counters to spread out and taste at.
