The 5th<\/sup> annual Crush and Roll <\/a>West took place this past weekend and it seems to have been another big success. We did not attend the Friday night event this year but did go to the Saturday event. The cigar vendors were impressive as usual but this year I was really impressed with the beer vendors at the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

So impressed that I didn\u2019t drink a drop of wine while there\u2026rare for me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, on to the Crush and Roll Details…<\/h3>\n

The participating breweries were BarrelHouse<\/a>, which is here in Paso Robles and we\u2019re big fans of as you may know from previous blog posts. ManRock Brewing<\/a> Company out of Grover Beach was there and I had no prior experience with them but the guys were super cool and I enjoyed the beer I tasted with them. Figueroa Mountain<\/a> and Stone Brewing<\/a> were also there and I\u2019ve been a fan of both breweries for some time. There was a fifth brewery there but I\u2019m struggling to remember the name and I\u2019m pretty sure it isn\u2019t the one listed on the Crush & Roll website.<\/span><\/p>\n

The participating wineries were great, as with previous years, but as I said I didn\u2019t have any wine that day. The weather seemed a bit cooler than last year which is always a plus, there was a nice breeze rolling through the Paso Robles Event Center as well. I really dig the laid back vibe of this event. As I\u2019ve stated before, it\u2019s like being at your friend\u2019s house having a backyard BBQ\u2026just mellow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Annie and I each walked away with about 18 cigars each, part of your ticket into the event. Thanks to our friend Jeanette for the tickets, good times J-Dog\u2026good times!!<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure if there any one standout to me, I do feel the event is getting better each year. The auction items are awesome, all the vendors kick ass\u2026as usual\u2026but maybe the five breweries stick out to me the most this year. Super happy to see more beer happenings in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

The only bad thing I noticed the whole time we were there were the multiple lines you had to wait in to get into the event. I guess that\u2019s part of it when it comes to events but I\u2019m impatient, as the lovely Mrs. Annie knows all too well.<\/span><\/p>\n

All this cigar talk makes me want a stogie now\u2026don\u2019t tell my life insurance guy (sorry Tony)!!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
