As I say every time I do this post about our favorite wines from the month before\u2026where in the hell does the time go? I mean, I know we\u2019re all \u201cbusy\u201d but I think there\u2019s some kind of insanely cruel joke going on and somewhere underground there a room full of people laughing their asses off. That said\u2026let\u2019s get down to business\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Annie\u2019s 3 favorite wines from September, in no particular order:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

2008 Bella Luna<\/a> Barbera (terrific with the red sauce we had for dinner! Great wine!!!)<\/span><\/p>\n

2011 Tablas Creek<\/a> Antithesis (100% Chardonnay)<\/span><\/p>\n

2010 Ponzi Vineyards<\/a> Pinot Noir (great Pinot, smooth and delish)<\/span><\/p>\n

Matt\u2019s 3 favorite wines from September, in no particular order:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

2012 J Dusi<\/a> Pinot Grigio (not normally a Pinot Grigio fan but this was awesome and it paired well with warm Paso days last month)<\/span><\/p>\n

2008 Bella Luna<\/a> Barbera (Annie and I both enjoyed this wine, I must say\u2026it was absolutely amazing!)<\/span><\/p>\n

2010 Alta Colina<\/a> Estate GSM (Tasted this at the Rhone Rangers event held at Cypher Winery in honor of Grenache Day. Alta Colina is one of those small local producers that you NEED to go try if you haven\u2019t\u2026or even if you have.)<\/span><\/p>\n

There you have it folks, another edition of \u201cour three favorite wines from\u201d the month before\u2026I know you eagerly and patiently wait for this each month, much appreciated. I smell a little snark in the air today\u2026going to be a good day.<\/span><\/p>\n

All that aside\u2026we are entering red wine season in our house. There\u2019s nothing quite like fall and harvest in the air, a nice red wine, and possibly the fireplace turned on. It\u2019s Annie\u2019s favorite time of year but I am deathly afraid of the cold\u2026I just don\u2019t like it. Oh well, I will attempt to be a man about it this year but no promises.<\/span><\/p>\n
