Yeah, that’s right…on the 46 East and Buena Vista Block.\u00a0 Right where….shhhhh….Martin & Weyrich used to be.\u00a0 The building is still beautiful, yet with all new landscaping and trimmings!\u00a0 When you walk into the big, Tuscan-style tasting room, you’ll see all of San Antonio’s labels on display, along with some other cool “stuff”.\u00a0 In other words, it’s a great place to shop!<\/p>\n
There’s a lot of history at\u00a0 San Antonio Winery, starting in 1917 when the Riboli family opened the winery’s doors in Los Angeles.\u00a0 The family business survived the prohibition period by producing sacramental wines, which they still sell.\u00a0 They’ve got vineyards here in Paso Robles, as well as in Southern California and produce over 500,000 cases under their multiple labels.\u00a0 It’s a pretty cool story, as the Riboli family still runs the business so they must be doing something right.<\/p>\n

If you stop in to taste, be ready to make some decisions!\u00a0 There are 10 major labels with multiple varietals under each label to choose from.\u00a0 They also do sparkling wines, marsala wines, late harvest and port wines, as well as a couple of sangrias.\u00a0 The wine pourers were very helpful and knowledgeable so step right up and let them guide you through the San Antonio experience!<\/p>\n
