Just off 46 West on Anderson Road sits Dark Star Cellars.\u00a0 They’ve been making wine in the Paso Robles area for a long time, well since 1994 that is.\u00a0 They produce about 4,000 cases a year of “stellar reds”, or dark stars.\u00a0 This is a family run joint, with Norm Benson at the helm, his wife and kids helping him make the wine and run the winery.\u00a0 The family is so involved that son Brian even started his own label, Brian Benson, which is right next door.\u00a0 Dark Star pours a lot of wines in their tasting room, mostly reds, lots of Bordeaux single varietal and blends, and lots of good stuff.\u00a0 Stop in and try their wines and listen to their story!<\/p>\n
