I know I\u2019m a bit behind on this one as we are over halfway through November and we are just now posting the blog post on our favorite wines from October\u2026but better late than never I suppose. October was a busy month with Sammy\u2019s first birthday which meant more interesting wines because friends brought cool stuff over for the birthday party\u2026for the adults of course. Sammy was more interested in the wrapping paper and the occasional cardboard box than the wine, heck, he didn\u2019t even care much about the slab of cake we set down in front of him.<\/p>\n

All that said\u2026here we go.<\/p>\n

Annie\u2019s three favorite wines in no particular order:<\/h3>\n

2011 Rendarrio Vineyards<\/a> Chardonnay<\/p>\n

2008 Hug Cellars<\/a> Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir<\/p>\n

2009 Pear Valley<\/a> Inspiration (59% Syrah, 32% Grenache, 9% Mourvedre)<\/p>\n

Matt\u2019s three favorite wines in no particular order:<\/h3>\n

2011 Wild Coyote<\/a> Tannat (Haven\u2019t had very many Tannat\u2019s, very interesting grape)<\/p>\n

1999 Castoro Cellars<\/a> Reserve Sangiovese (14 years old, tasted great in my opinion)<\/p>\n

2010 Per Cazo<\/a> Zing (62% Grenache, 38% Zinfandel) (Had not had this one before and think it was the right wine on the right day, it just worked)<\/p>\n

So there you have it. As I\u2019ve said before the wines we pick may be because they were unique, different, or just tasted awesome in the moment. There really is no rhyme or reason behind what we like other than\u2026right this second, this tastes freakin\u2019 good.<\/p>\n
