This post is not a review per se, but the product mentioned was given to me to use in order to formulate my own thoughts. As I have mentioned before, I am part of the Verizon<\/a> #VZWBuzz<\/a> Lifestyle Blogger program. That said, all opinions are my own.<\/p>\n

The first device I received from the group was the Samsung Galaxy S4<\/a> and as impressed with that phone as I was I must be honest and say the LG G2<\/a> is even better\u2026for me. As someone who has had an iPhone for quite a long time and is not necessarily \u201ctech savvy\u201d, it can be daunting to learn the ins and outs of new devices.<\/p>\n

This phone proved not to be difficult to navigate and as cell phones go, this thing is chalk full of interesting features that I am unaware of on other phones. In fact, it\u2019s one of those phones that has more features than someone like me would use but so far, via my tinkering and investigating, the things about this phone that rock are:<\/p>\n

LG G2 Features<\/h3>\n

~ 5.2\u201d 1080P display- This is damn big if you ask me and due to my love of taking photos with my phone it\u2019s awesome having such a large screen as well as the killer quality. This also makes it even better when you\u2019re watching videos and sharing videos (and photos) with a few people as I often do when at a get together or what have you. Remember, I have a 13 month old son so sharing photos and video is what I do.<\/p>\n

~ 13MP camera with OIS (optical image stabilization)- Sticking with the camera theme, this is a lot of mega pixels so all the photos I take come out crystal clear and after a few glasses of wine that image stabilization comes in handy too\u2026if you know what I mean.<\/p>\n

~ Rear Key- This was a feature I thought would be pointless at first but once you start using the phone I really became a fan of it. The keys (buttons) on the back of the phone allow you to power the phone on and off, take photos, control volume, and more. By doing this they were able to get rid of all the buttons on the edge of the phone which I actually am quite happy with.<\/p>\n

~ Slide Aside- Another feature I really didn\u2019t think I\u2019d use but alas, proven wrong. Here\u2019s how LG describes it: \u201cSlide Aside\u2122 gives you the freedom to quickly switch between as many as three different open apps on the phone just by swiping and tapping the screen. So it\u2019s never been easier to go from text to the web browser to email and back again, for example.\u201d<\/p>\n

I have not experienced all aspects of the phone yet but these are some of the things I have enjoyed so far, some of which I didn\u2019t think I would really care about but turns out I do. With my love of phone photography, the desire to capture my son growing up, and my social media and writing work\u2026this phone has knocked it out of the park. I did not give up my iPhone for the Samsung Galaxy S4 due to my knowledge and allegiance to the almighty iPhone but I\u2019ll tell you what, this phone (the LG G2) is extremely interesting\u2026and I haven\u2019t even hit up all the features yet.<\/p>\n

Even if I choose to keep my iPhone for business and all that I may keep this one as an added \u201cmobile device\u201d rather than carrying my laptop or iPad around. For a guy who has always cringed at technology (due to my lack of \u201cgetting it\u201d), these devices are getting more sophisticated but more intuitive to use. Kudos to LG on this device and I will fill you in again soon on more of the things I like or dislike on this one.<\/p>\n\n\n
