So,\u00a0Black Stallion Bar & Grill<\/a> isn\u2019t brand new but it\u2019s brand new to us. To be honest, I don\u2019t know how long they\u2019ve been open but it\u2019s been a little while. Anyways, this spot is, believe it or not, in the Food4Less strip mall on the corner of Creston and Niblick here in Paso Robles (right around the corner from where we live) and it\u2019s actually in the same unit as a place we used to frequent often.<\/p>\n

The old place was called Papa Tommy\u2019s but this new joint is called Black Stallion Bar & Grill. The vibe is casual, almost a combo of bar\/ pub, sports bar, and pizza joint. I will say that the food doesn\u2019t match the location. Not to dog strip malls but we\u2019ve all been to some shady joints. We actually thought the food was really good. We had the appetizer of Brussels Sprouts and Bacon, the Black Stallion Burger (which was insanely flavorful), and Sammy got the Chicken tenders off the kid\u2019s menu.\"IMG_8144\"<\/a>\"IMG_8145\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Bottom line, the food was great. To wash all that down I had a couple of beers and I will let you know they have a great craft beer selection and it\u2019s always changing. I think that\u2019s pretty cool. Annie had a couple glasses of local wine that she likes and Sammy had water we brought from home\u2026I know, exciting.<\/p>\n

The service was great as well. It wasn\u2019t packed or anything so we\u2019d have to test them out on a busy night to really see how it goes but the two guys that ended up taking care of us were super cool. I have no complaints. The food was good. The service was great. The vibe was relaxed. The prices didn\u2019t offend us at all. To top it off it\u2019s located two or three minutes from our house.<\/p>\n
