Thank 8lb baby Jesus for babysitters. I must say though, I hate saying &#8220;babysitter&#8221; because the people that watch Sammy are our friends. Okay, now back to the wine drinking at hand. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bellalunawine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bella Luna Winery<\/a>\u2026we haven\u2019t been there for several years, at least so it was time to go back.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-4669 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1001-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1001\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1001-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1001.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>It\u2019s a small production spot located on the east side of Hwy 101 in the scenic town of Templeton. The story behind Bella Luna and its founders, Kevin Healey and Sherman Smoot, is really quite cool\u2026you can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bellalunawine.com\/About-Us\" target=\"_blank\">check that out here<\/a>. This is another one of those wineries that really does, in my opinion, define what this wine region is all about. Interesting people with great stories as well as a passion for the area and the wine being produced.<\/p>\n<p>Cammy poured for us and she was awesome. Annie and I were being a bit \u2018Hoot n Annie-ish\u2019 but she jumped right in and we had some good laughs. Nothing better than that on a rainy <span>Saturday<\/span> in wine country.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what we tasted:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_0999.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4667\" src=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_0999-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0999\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_0999-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_0999.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2009 \u201cTempestuous\u201d Tempranillo $35.00<\/p>\n<p>2011 \u201cEstate Riserva\u201d Super-Tuscan Blend $45.00<\/p>\n<p>2011 Sangiovese \u201cGrosso\u201d $45.00<\/p>\n<p>2011 \u201cLot One\u201d Barbera $38.00<\/p>\n<p>2012 \u201cBailey Ranch Riserva\u201d 100% Zinfandel $40.00<\/p>\n<p>Just to reiterate, we are not wine critics and you may notice that I often say that I enjoyed the wines from a winery. To me this means that, even though I may not personally want to buy a specific wine off the list, the wines were solid and I could absolutely see others enjoying them. I drink what I like and that\u2019s that. That being said, I DID enjoy the list but especially enjoyed the Super-Tuscan Blend and the Sangiovese \u201cGrosso\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-4668 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1002-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1002\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1002-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1002.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Bella Luna is a great stop if you are in the area. Small, quaint, great wines, and fun people.
