Typically when we go downtown it\u2019s to take Sammy to the park or to go to dinner on a date night. This, my friends, will change and in fact already has.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1148.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-4680 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1148-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1148\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1148-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.threeadventure.com\/hootnannie\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/02\/IMG_1148.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>We recently went down to <a href=\"http:\/\/asuncionridge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Asuncion Ridge Vineyards<\/a> tasting room located directly across from the downtown park on 12<sup>th<\/sup> Street. The tasting room itself is actually quite nice. It\u2019s a big space with plenty of seating and <span>on Saturday<\/span> nights they have live music so check that out. When you go in be sure to ask them about the history of that space as well as the shelving unit behind the tasting bar\u2026some interesting history.<\/p>\n<p>Any time we have gone in to Asuncion we have made sure Teresa is working because\u2026well\u2026she\u2019s just one of our favorite people. She\u2019s super nice, funny, and very knowledgeable. We\u2019ve known her for quite some time, dating back to when she worked at the Ortman Family tasting room. This also means she has watched Sammy, our now almost two and a half year old, grow up. Let\u2019s get to the wine. Here\u2019s what we tasted:<\/p>\n<p>2013 Sauvignon Blanc $25.00<\/p>\n<p>2010 Estate Pinot Noir $38.00<\/p>\n<p>2011 Estate Pinot Noir $38.00<\/p>\n<p>2011 Nefarious (86% Syrah 14% Grenache) $44.00<\/p>\n<p>2009 Lascivious (49% Mourvedre 28% Syrah 23% Cabernet Sauvignon) $36.00<\/p>\n<p>2013 Voloptuous (Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc) $25.00 (375ml)<\/p>\n<p>This is another spot where I really did like each wine. The Sauv Blanc was great and their Pinots are always solid, both of these were very nice. As a Pinot whore I give them a stamp of approval. The blends are always super tasty. The proof of that is that they were sold out of two of their other blends. I\u2019m not normally a big \u201clate harvest\u201d fan but their late harvest Sauv Blanc was quite interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Side note:<\/p>\n<p>These folks also have an Inn. Three suites that you can rent when the time is right. I have heard a ton of good stuff about the Inn so you may find us up there some time soon.
