Our first time checking out the restaurant at Niner Wine Estates<\/a> was back in January for Restaurant Month. You can check out how that went, here<\/a>. On that visit we ate the prix fixe meal and had decided, based on reading the regular menu, that we needed to go back at some point to taste some of the other dishes. We made it back recently and this is how it went down.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s cover the facility first. As you know if you\u2019ve ever been there, Niner Wine Estates<\/a> is beautiful. The interior, the exterior, the grounds\u2026beautiful. We sat outside on their patio and had the amazing view of Heart Hill which you\u2019ll see in some photos in the slideshow below.<\/p>\n

Next let\u2019s talk about customer service. This was only our third time there since they first opened how ever many years ago. I\u2019m not sure what they did from our first visit years ago to our recent visits in January and this past weekend but whatever it is, keep doing that. We did not deal with the tasting room staff on this latest visit but in January they were super friendly. The restaurant staff is spot on.<\/p>\n

We had a little surprise as we walked up to the winery, a friend of ours (Ryan) is now the restaurant manager and we could not be happier for him. We\u2019ve known him for a few years from his work at other local restaurants and he not only knows what he\u2019s doing but at the end of the day he is just a good guy.<\/p>\n

Now to the food. We started with a cheese and charcuterie plate, which is hard to go wrong with. There is a photo of the plate in the slideshow below and as you\u2019ll see it was loaded with all the good stuff. My favorite had to be the Spanish Chorizo but apparently it was all good because nothing was left.<\/p>\n

Next up we ordered the Prawns along with the Spring Lasagna. Both were exceptional. The Prawns had amazing flavors and it all came together so well. I was really impressed with the Spring Lasagna. It was a no meat lasagna with all the wonderful flavor expected from this comfort food. It was one of those meals that really became an experience. Oh, and we may have had some wine too.<\/p>\n

That day we had their 2012 Grenache Blanc, 2013 Silhouette Du Coeur, 2013 Grenache Rose, and the 2013 Chardonnay. All were tasting quite nice. That Grenache Rose really stood out to me that day.<\/p>\n

So if you\u2019re on the west side of Paso Robles and need a bite to eat stop in and try Niner. Be sure to let know what you think when you do.<\/p>\n\n\n
