I don\u2019t know of another event on the central coast of California that is as \u2018all-encompassing\u2019 as Sunset Savor the Central Coast<\/a>. Beer. Wine. Food. Famous chefs. Local restaurants. Adventure tours. Local live music. Lifestyle exhibitors. An all new \u2018Artists\u2019 Village\u2019. Spirits. And\u2026more.<\/p>\n

Insane, right?<\/p>\n

Name another event that has all of these onsite and offsite events over the course of a few days. None. We have been to Savor several times but one thing I am extremely intrigued about this year is the all new \u2018Opening Night Party\u201d called \u2018Strings at Sunset<\/a>\u2019. It will be held at Vina Robles Amphitheatre<\/a> on September 24th, and from what I can tell there will be amazing chefs (which means food, people) as well as the Sunset International Wine Competition winners including great local wineries like Clavo Cellars, Record Family Wines, Niven Family Wines, Summerwood, Laetitia Vineyard & Winery, and Vina Robles.<\/p>\n

This alone sounds amazing but why hold this opening night event at an amphitheatre? Well, the music. Click this link<\/a> and go to the bottom of the page to see the artists that will be performing but there are two local cats along with String Theory<\/a> and Spags<\/a>. If you haven\u2019t heard of them please, do yourself a favor and check out their websites to hear the music. Amazing.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know what more to do to entice you to come to the opening night event. Oh wait, I do have one more thing. Check this press release<\/a>, but the bottom line is that, for $100 you can go to the opening night event at Vina Robles AND go to the Sunday<\/span> main event (press release about happenings at the main event<\/a>) at Santa Margarita Ranch. You save $70 and get to indulge in two days of mouth, ear, and eye \u2018gasms\u2019.<\/p>\n

A few other notes of interest. Local author, Brigit Binns, will be at the main event as will Neil Collins from Bristol\u2019s Cider doing Cider Seminars. Volvo is coming back to this event as well with the Volvo Ride and Drive. You can read about these and all the other activities on the Savor website.<\/p>\n
