Anglim<\/a> is the last winery to cover from a wine tasting day we did with friends that were in from out of town a couple of weeks back. The other one\u2019s I covered were Tablas Creek Vineyard<\/a>, Halter Ranch Vineyard<\/a>, and Asuncion Ridge Vineyards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tablas and Halter are great spots if you\u2019re looking to get away from downtown and explore the further reaches of Paso wine country. Beautiful rolling hills filled with oak trees and vineyards will dominate your drive and hey, if you\u2019re into that sort of thing you will absolutely love it.<\/p>\n

On the flip side, Asuncion Ridge and Anglim are both downtown and depending on what you\u2019re up to can be very handy. We\u2019ve been to Anglim numerous times and we\u2019ve always enjoyed their lineup of wines. This time we tasted:<\/p>\n

2012 Viognier Bien Nacido Vineyard (100% Viognier) $28.00<\/p>\n

2011 Viognier-Roussanne Hastings Ranch Vineyard (43% Viognier, 57% Roussanne) $28.00<\/p>\n

2014 Rose (61% Grenache, 29% Syrah, 8% Mourvedre, 2% Viognier) $18.00<\/p>\n

2012 Grenache (It just so happened to be Grenache Day while we were there so that was fun) $38.00<\/p>\n

2012 Cerise (44% Grenache, 43% Mourvedre, 11% Syrah, 2% Viognier) $28.00<\/p>\n

2011 Mourvedre Hastings Ranch Vineyard $38.00<\/p>\n

2012 Syrah $38.00<\/p>\n

I honestly could have walked away with a bottle of each of them. I really enjoyed the Viognier-Roussane, the Rose, Grenache, and Mourvedre. So there you have it folks. It was a good weekend of tasting with our friend Christine from Toronto and Denise from Phoenix. If we had more time we would have absolutely gone to more spots but there\u2019s only so much you can do in a couple of days.<\/p>\n

I should also mention before I end this, that the customer service at each winery we took them to (Tablas, Halter, Asuncion Ridge, and Anglim) was flawless. All were attentive, informative, and fun\/ enjoyable to chat with. Thanks for showing our guests what Paso Robles is all about.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
