Instead we started a tradition of going downtown around <span data-term=\"goog_1491221620\">10:00 am<\/span>-ish to watch the final rush to get things ready and then go over to Pappy McGregor\u2019s across the street to watch from the sidelines.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Over lunch and a cocktail we watch the park start to fill up along with all the interesting characters milling about outside the fences. It\u2019s pretty entertaining. In previous years we would sit there until the crowds would leave the event as it drew to a close and watch them stumble around\u2026some even falling.<\/p>\n<p>So that\u2019s what we did <span data-term=\"goog_1491221621\">Saturday<\/span> afternoon for Wine Festival. That evening our good friend Megan watched Sammy so we could go to the Pomar Junction Winemaker Dinner. The dinner and wine pairings were amazing. You can see photos of the food and menu in the slideshow below. We really enjoyed the people as well, very fun evening.<\/p>\n<p><span data-term=\"goog_1491221622\">On Sunday<\/span> of Wine Festival Weekend we met some out-of-town friends (Pat, Steve, Janet, Jeff) at Barrelhouse Brewing (in Tin City) for what else\u2026a beer. Once we felt properly hydrated we went right down the road to Lefondusac for a little wine and the amazing street tacos created by Chef Chris Beckett from Fish Gaucho. I had a chicken taco and a pulled pork\u2026both were terrific! Actually making me hungry now.<\/p>\n<p>So that\u2019s that. Another fun-filled Paso Robles weekend. It\u2019s astonishing how much is going on in this \u201clittle\u201d town. So much to do and so little time.
