Taste of the Grove<\/a> was the Friday<\/span> night event tied to the Avocado & Margarita Street Festival<\/a> the following Saturday<\/span>. We were very fortunate, for a couple of reasons, to be invited to Taste of the Grove at The Packing Shed<\/a> in Morro Bay. One, I knew nothing about The Packing Shed but wow, what a great venue. You can check out their website as well as my photos in the slideshow below. The second reason, the crew set up an absolutely wonderful event.<\/p>\n

The food vendors included everyone from Artisan Restaurant, Thomas Hill Organics, Trumpet Vine Catering to the Inn at Morro Bay. The food was fantastic. Every dish had to include avocado because\u2026well\u2026it is an avocado festival, right? This was just the beginning. There was also cider, beer, wine, and live music by Mark Adams from One Time Space Man.<\/p>\n

The food stand-outs were the ones I mentioned above but also Farmstead Ed\u2019s guacamole bar.<\/p>\n

The wine stand-outs were Baker & Brain and Alta Colina.<\/p>\n

Other stand-outs, the cocktails from Yes Cocktail<\/a> as well as the cider from Reef Points Hard Cider<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You can always go on and on about all the amazing vendors that show up to serve us their amazing creations\u2026and I know I am most certainly missing some of them. The one thing that always makes or breaks an event though, is the people and the vibe. It truly takes a vision to put an event together in which people want to return to year after year.<\/p>\n

For me, I put this event right up there with a similar vibe to Earth Day Food & Wine Festival and Beaverstock at Castoro Cellars. Casual, peaceful, back yard BBQ, friends and family. I don\u2019t know how they do it but they do it. We had a great time trying some new spots out, like Yes Cocktail and Inn at Morro Bay, but also friendly faces like Alta Colina and Artisan.<\/p>\n

Big thank you to Kyle, the crew that set this up, each and every vendor bringing something thoughtful and unique to such a beautiful night in Morro Bay. Cheers!<\/p>\n\n\n
