A month or two back we headed to Avila Beach to meet up with Annie\u2019s mom and decided to try out this new-to-us restaurant called <a href=\"http:\/\/oceangrillavila.com\/\">Ocean Grill<\/a>. We\u2019ll cut right to the nitty gritty, the restaurant is awesome. The d\u00e9cor, the views, the food, and the service were all fantastic the day we were there and we were quite fortunate to get a warm, blue sky day in Avila.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what we ordered:<\/p>\n<p>Crispy Calamari \u2013 Coconut Chili Sauce, Cilantro Aioli, Grilled Lemon, Green onion &#8211; $13<\/p>\n<p>Carne Wood Fired Pizza \u2013 Pepperoni, Fennel Sausage, Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce &#8211; $17<\/p>\n<p>Local Rockfish Tacos \u2013 Tomatillo Cr\u00e8me Fraiche, Avocado Puree, Cilantro, Shredded Cabbage &#8211; $15<\/p>\n<p>The food was great. It\u2019s another one of those spots I wish were closer to us here in Paso Robles but I guess that just gives us the excuse to head to Avila more often. If you haven\u2019t been, check them out. Well worth it. Side note, they had a really cool bar too but we had Sammy with us so did not sit there. Check out the photos below to see the food, ocean, and one shot of the restaurant.
