Tangent is raising the bar creating canned wine from estate, SIP Certified\u00ae vineyards <\/em><\/p>\n

June 14 2017, (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) \u2013 Just in time for summer, Tangent<\/u><\/a> canned Ros\u00e9 and Sauvignon Blanc are the perfect excuse to leave the corkscrew at home. The grab-and-go goodness is now available nationwide and is sure to be the center of every summer celebration.<\/p>\n

Owned by Niven Family Wine Estates, Tangent creates fresh, crisp and vibrant wines that are a departure from the ordinary and the canned Ros\u00e9 and Sauvignon Blanc are no exception. Both wines are crafted with grapes sourced from the Niven family\u2019s historic estate Paragon Vineyard in the Edna Valley of San Luis Obispo. \u201cTangent\u2019s new canned wines highlight the best of what is available from our certified sustainable vineyards, raising the bar on the quality of canned wines,\u201d says John Niven, vice president of sales and marketing at Niven Family Wine Estates. \u201cThese delicious wines are ready to drink and easy to recycle without all the fuss of corkscrews and glasses.  Cans make it easier and faster to enjoy and celebrate without pause.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not only are the cans noteworthy, but the Ros\u00e9 recipe is revolutionary. \u201cWe thought that an innovative Ros\u00e9 was the perfect way to showcase the unique attributes of our cool climate, sustainable estate,\u201d says winemaker Christian Roguenant. The 2016 Ros\u00e9 is made with Albari\u00f1o, Viognier and splashes of Pinot Noir, Grenache and Syrah. Crisp and refreshing flavors of strawberry, peach and melon burst from the can, followed by hints of rose petal and red fruit.<\/p>\n

The 100% estate grown 2016 Sauvignon Blanc is bright, silky and racy with flavors of green apple, lime, grapefruit and lemon zest accompanied by notes of minerality and citrus aromatics. This wine is a rare example of a cool climate Sauvignon Blanc and is the perfect style to be enjoyed from a can.<\/p>\n

Tangent\u2019s new canned releases are perfect summer-sippers.
