<\/div>\nHave you heard of Tin Canteen? Well, Tin City here in Paso Robles finally got a brick and mortar restaurant after years of depending on food trucks. Now, you know us, we LOVE food trucks so we aren\u2019t complaining about it. That said, we\u2019ve thought for a long time that a restaurant was much needed for this hip \u201cDisneyland\u201d for grown-ups that love adult beverages.<\/p>\n
We stopped in on their second day of being open and I must say, for being that new they really did a great job with time and customer service. The space fits right in with the Tin City vibe. They have a large open room filled with low top tables, a few pub tables, and a bar that seats roughly eight. Just past the bar they have an outdoor seating area that features a similar rock structure and fountain like Barrelhouse Brewing.<\/p>\n
Tin Canteen is wine and beer only but they have, in my opinion, a great list that includes some Tin City natives as well as some out of the area names. Food wise, they have a good mix. They have a legit pizza menu, burger, fried chicken, pasta (that they are getting from ETTO right next door), salads, and more. Here\u2019s what we had:<\/p>\n
Octopus \u2013 grilled with onion, potato, celery root puree, serrano chilis $15.00<\/p>\n
American Wagyu Cheeseburger \u2013 tomato, lettuce, grilled onions, pickles, TC sauce, double cream gouda, Holy Cow, brioche bun $14.00<\/p>\n
Annie and I shared these two items and the only thing we changed was no bun on the burger. Yep, we\u2019re \u201cthose kind of people\u201d. The octopus was amazing and a nice portion size and you can\u2019t go wrong with a classic cheeseburger. If they are pumping food this good out of the kitchen on the second day, I think they might just make it.<\/p>\n
I want to go back and specifically thank Ari and Christa. They took fantastic care of us and we had some fun conversation. Based on the vibe, the people, the food, and the drinks, I really think this place is one that everyone will be talking about. We will definitely be back.<\/p>\n
