<\/div>\nHeirloom on 46 (a joint venture between Chef Mateo and Brittany) is now open in the location that was once home to Farmstand 46. We stopped in recently, apparently it was only their second day open, to check the space out. The new name for the front tasting room is Wines of the West. In this space you can taste the wines from Clayhouse and Purple Cowboy and where you can order food from Heirloom. In the tasting room behind, called the CAN-tina, you will be able to taste the wines from Alloy and If You See Kay.<\/p>\n
While there we did taste through some of the wines from Clayhouse and Purple Cowboy because we were thirsty, we had to do something while waiting for our food, and of course, we needed something to drink with our food.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s what we ate:<\/p>\n
The Stiglitz Hero: Ciabatta, turkey, bacon, avocado, provolone, ranch & shredded Romaine. $14.00<\/p>\n
Caesar Salad: Romaine, shaved parmesan, focaccia croutons & parmesan dressing. $12.00<\/p>\n
Seasonal Fruit & Burrata: Poached pears, sherry gastrique, crostini & arugula. $12.00<\/p>\n
The food was absolutely amazing. The sandwich was the bomb. The bread was so light it didn\u2019t make you feel stuffed. The salad had an amazing dressing on it. I swore that there was anchovy in there but Mateo said there wasn\u2019t. Bottom line, I\u2019m glad to see a \u201cmust go\u201d food spot on the west side again.<\/p>\n
