I will cut to the chase and tell you that my biggest challenge in life has been my son and the biggest reward in my life has been my son.
Challenges:
He doesnâ??t care about my space, he invades it constantly whether Iâ??m looking or not. Thatâ??s how I usually end up tripping over him.
He doesnâ??t care that I own some things and they arenâ??t for him.
He doesnâ??t care if he gets hurtâ?¦which makes our job as parents that much more difficult.
He cries for no reason at all, sometimes heâ??ll even cry when you give him exactly what he wants.
He doesnâ??t think there is such a thing as â??too loudâ?.
He could care less that he doesnâ??t wipe his own ass.
Heâ??s lazy and wonâ??t speak English.
Heâ??s not embarrassed when heâ??s done eating and there is food in his hair, on his clothes, all over his face, and on the ground.
Heâ??s also not embarrassed that others have to clean up for him.
Rewards:
His smile can change your day from bad to good.
Itâ??s pretty amazing to watch his evolution as a human being.
When he wants to sit by you.
His hugs.
When he says â??dadâ??.
His laughâ?¦itâ??s amazing.
When you lay on the floor and heâ??s so happy that youâ??re down on his level.
His first smile, laugh, roll over, crawl, walk, etc. Firsts are awesome.
Weâ??re almost at the 19 month mark with him and it has indeed been the worst and best thing. I know some people may not like me saying worst thing but itâ??s trueâ?¦for me. Itâ??s also been the best thing so donâ??t get your undies in a twist. Iâ??m learning that deep breaths, saying no to the outside world, and being in the moment are helpful to having more happy days than bad ones.
So, let the roller coaster continue!!
