It’s true…they’re super cute and all that, but they’re also really weird! They don’t do things like we do; they can’t do things like we do! But we expect them to be like us and it just seems weird sometimes that they can’t do anything for themselves. Yeah, I know, it’s a baby but that doesn’t mean we don’t have high expectations.<\/p>\n

It’s weird that they are so bodily function-centric at this point in their lives. I mean, I guess we all are to some degree, but we’ve just learned how to deal with it all…babies are still learning what all the funny sensations and cues are and they don’t always handle the whole thing very well. Our little guy is the cutest thing in the whole wide world, but man can that kid poop! Oh yeah, and burp, and spit-up, and drool, and scream, and fart, and sneeze huge boogers out of his nose. It’s a never-ending stream of bodily fluids and functions! He’s a machine!!!<\/p>\n

The fact that as adults, we know how to blow our own noses or wander out of the room to use the restroom is completely unimpressive to a newborn. I mean, why do that when you can just let it all rip and somebody else will clean up the mess??? The funny thing is, we still think it’s all cute and funny! If that’s not weird I don’t know what is…since when is poop cute?<\/p>\n

So, we learn to deal with these weird little aliens and adjust our lives around their bodily functions. The coolest thing is that we absolutely love and adore our weirdo and are enjoying each moment of this amazing experience. We believe wholeheartedly that everything in life happens for a reason and Samuel Liberty chose to join us on our journey and we couldn’t be happier! He fits right in with our weirdnesses.<\/p>\n
